TIOT (The Impermanence Of Things) is the electro-acoustic duo of Lionel Malric and Pak Yan Lau.
Both piano players, they have a long standing collaboration together on their acoustic project: Duo Pour 454 Chordes (a duo of 2 prepared piano's).
TIOT came to life, because it was not simple to tour with 2 grand pianos, hence came the idea to go and explore other instrumental set ups. Soon they would find themselves with a bunch of instruments, ranging from clavichords, cimbalom, toypianos to synthesizers, casio keyboards to objects of all kinds like modified wok, old irons and processing all things through electronic effects.
Each tour became clear that things were not lasting and the music and set up changed all the time.

This is a live recording from a concert in Domain de Lastours - Coursan at 'la compagnie Les Babas au Rhum', September 2017.
